











Georgian Wine Decanter Hand Blown Bristol Blue Glass w Enamel & Gilt. For your consideration is an outstanding 18th century wine decanter. Beautiful all hand blown Bristol cobalt blue glass. Characteristic for the period tapered shape. Skillfully hand painted decoration featuring white enamel beaded festoons and golden floral garlands, gilt floral sprays and highlights. Flattened and polished pontil. Rare piece of museum quality. Circa second half to late 18th century, 1760’s-1780’s. 11″ tall x 4.5″ base diameter. Weighs about 1 lb. Condition: Very Good overall. Minor loss on two “beads” from the white enameled festoons, minor wear to gilt, one scratch on gilt, as pictured, altogether commensurate with age and use. Local Pickups Are Welcome!
