Salviati Italian Enameled Gondola Scene Floral & Gold Blue Glass Demitasse Set. Nice vintage Italian hand blown blue glass demitasse set including demitasse coffee pot, creamer and sugar. One side of the pot is decorated with a hand enameled scene with lovers in a gondola with a figural mermaid on the front holding swags of flowers above. The other side is enameled with a similar scene, but with a seahorse on the front of the gondola. With gold bands, scallops, white enamel beading, and floral swags. The creamer has a hand enameled scene of a lady in a covered gondola with Neptune / Poseidon with his trident on the front. The other side of the creamer has a lady in a covered gondola with a figural mermaid on the front. The sugar has three scenes including a lady in a covered gondola with seahorse, and two courting couple scenes in gondolas with figural mermaids. Gold flecks to the applied clear glass handles and finials. Unsigned, but probably decorated by Salviati. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. The teapot measures 6 3/4 inches wide from spout to handle x 8 1/4 inches tall. The creamer measures 4 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 6 inches tall. The sugar measures 4 inches wide x 4 5/8 inches tall to the top of the lid finial. These are vintage and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the pieces.
