FRENCH PEG SATIN GREEN, CLEAR &. ENAMELLED + ART NOUVEAU BRASS. This listing is for the complete peg lamp with shade. With the exception of the base/candlestick which is British all components are French. The filigree Art Nouveau candle stick/base, which slightly pre-dates the rest of the components, is in excellent condition. It is without chips, cracks, repairs or breaks and show little if any signs of wear/use. This is an original Art Nouveau candle stick not a readily available reproduction. This hand detailed internally ribbed fount is close to pristine. The predominant colour is a soft blue green. A darker shade enamel of the same colour has been applied to the border of the scalloping and larger clear areas. The Gaudard burner and collar are replacements and are in excellent unused condition. Gaudard has been making these burners since the early 1900’s. The light emphasizes the design which is similar in its form to that on the fount. The shade will sit directly on the shade lip but I have added a modified collar which acts as a shade ring to further secure it. This can be removed if you prefer. The shade is in excellent condition with little, if any, signs of wear or use. The top rim is immaculate while the fitter rim does have some of the usual tiny fleabites. The European replacement chimney is in excellent condition. It is new and unused. H 515mm 20 1/4 (height). D 95 mm 3 3/4 (fount). 120 mm 4 3/4 (base widest). Please view the photos carefully as they form a major part of the description. Items which need extra attention/care antiques, glass, delicate/fragile etc. I use recycled packaging as much as possible. Items can be collected from KYNETON 3444.
